印刷中紙張與之息息相關，紙張也分銅板紙、藝術紙，在印刷中紙張占據是一個大的費用，印刷廠對于紙張的存放和用紙也是一個關鍵的問題。

紙張的保管是一項十分重要的工作，紙張在運輸過程中，切不可從高處向低處拋擲，以免發(fā)生散件和損傷，紙件切勿豎立儲運，應當一律平放，不宜在露天停放時間過久，要及時搬進車間或者倉庫。

紙張防潮，紙張對空氣的濕度非常敏感，紙張中的水份含量總是隨著空氣中濕度的變化而變化的。儲存紙張的庫房應當清潔，干燥，或者直接放在膠印車間里，紙堆要離開地面一段距離，要離開墻壁。儲放處的室內相對濕度保持在60%-70%，而其室溫應以18-22℃為適宜。

Paper moisture, paper is very sensitive to the humidity of the air, the moisture content of the paper always changes with the change of humidity in the air. Storage of paper warehouse should be clean, dry, or directly in the offset printing workshop, paper stack to leave the ground for a distance, to leave the wall. 紙張必須避免陽光直接曝曬，否則將因紙張中水份被蒸發(fā)而發(fā)脆、發(fā)黃，同時會使紙張變形上翹。如果變形那么無法使用印刷。紙張防熱。紙張不應當儲放在溫度過高的地方，當一般紙張受到超過38℃的高溫時，其強度顯著降低，而且要翹曲變形，特別是銅版紙則會粘結成塊造成報廢。紙張防折，紙張儲存應平攤堆齊，避免一折三疊那樣放置，堆放時，切不可使紙張的兩端交錯突出，否則突出部分容易變質。

If it is deformed, printing cannot be used. The paper is heat proof. The paper should not be stored in the place where the temperature is too high. When the general paper is exposed to the high temperature of more than 38 ℃, its strength will be significantly reduced, and it will be warped, especially the coated paper will be bonded into blocks, resulting in scrap. Paper folding, paper storage should be flat stack, avoid a fold three fold as placement, stacking, must not make the two ends of the paper staggered prominent, otherwise the protruding part is easy to deteriorate.

印刷用紙的厚度，緊度、平滑度、塵埃度，含水量，酸堿度及對平版膠印的影響，這些紙張的特性直接影響到印刷品的質量，對上機印刷速度等都有影響。紙張的厚度均勻一致的話，上機印刷的質量也就會更好。

平滑度，紙張的平滑度是需要紙張表面平整，光滑的程度，光滑了上機的速度也就可以暢通，提高印刷速度，印刷品也相對清晰。

紙張是印刷的關鍵，印刷廠對于車間的溫度濕度都要控制，如需緊缺紙張可以囤貨，常用紙張不變的化，盡量庫存少，隨調隨用也可以減少資金壓力。
