過(guò)UV所采用的設(shè)備叫UV光固機(jī)，原理就是通過(guò)紫外光照射來(lái)固化UV油墨。局部UV既可在覆膜后實(shí)施，也可在印刷品上直接UV，但為了突出局部UV的效果。一般是在印刷品覆膜后進(jìn)行，且以覆亞膜居多，約占局部UV產(chǎn)品的80%左右。過(guò)UV后的印刷品一般很難再回收利用。
